Fiscal Responsibility

Wheeler Mission Ministries is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. The ministry is supported by private, tax-deductible donations like yours. Almost 80% of our funding comes from individuals. Wheeler receives no funds from the United Way or from governmental agencies.

Wheeler's fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31, and Wheeler's finances are audited annually by the accounting firm of Capin Crouse. As a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, Wheeler's financial practices must fall within the strict guidelines of the ECFA.  To view a copy of Wheeler's 990 click here.

According to an article from the Indianapolis Star, the Better Business Bureau recommends that a charity should spend at least 65% of its total expenses on program activities. And a charity should not spend more than 35% on fund raising. Wheeler's fundraising and administrative costs are well within those recommended percentages.
